Building Closet Foundations

A short list of things you need to make sure reside in your closet...

Every wonderful closet has to start with a good solid foundation. The list of elementary and foundational items that will help tie every outfit together nice and tidy. Here's the a short list of things you need to make sure reside in your closet, replenish when they get drab, and always have handy!

WHITE & BLACK TANKS. We are partial to the HARD TAIL supima cotton stretch, bra-friendly tanks. The fabric has some weight to it, and is crazy soft, the scoop is modest enough to be appropriate everywhere, and it washes like a dream.

BLACK LEGGINGS. You need at least 2-3 pairs because you'll grab these again and again…and AGAIN. We vote for both the Hard Tail and the TEES BY TINA.

WHITE, BLACK & NUDE CAMISOLE. Yes, all three are essential. We love the TEES BY TINA--they have a great cami that is longer in the body length, and the nylon stretch fabric has some heft to it, and smooths your mid section out.

WHITE JEANS.  White jeans are fabulous. You need them. They are surprisingly flattering, and we love how bright and fresh they always look. Check out SEVEN FOR ALL MANKIND.

DARK CLEAN WASH JEANS. Dark jeans that can go from day to night are a must have in your closet. Great fit is key, and the perfect hem length! Check out the original bootcut by SEVEN FOR ALL MANKIND.

LITTLE BLACK DRESS. Essential and necessary as the sun, the quest for the perfect LBD is an eternal job. When you find one, snatch it and stock it away because it is guaranteed you’ll find time and time again to wear it! ANNI KUAN has an amazing twist front dress!
